This is achieved through activities in areas such as protected areas, wildlife, land distribution, mineral and non-mineral resources, etc.. Through the departments and their interdepartmental committees, the Ministry provides services to both private and public sectors and articulates its activities with NGOs and local communities. The Ministry's headquarters is located in Belmopan and supported by district offices (Lands and Forestry) countrywide. The Geology and Petroleum Department and the Department of the Environment are both located in Belmopan as well.
